Simone, a soon-to-be electrical and electronic engineering graduate from Imperial College London, grew up spending his holidays in the Langa Astigiana, a UNESCO Heritage area renowned for its cheese, meat and wine production.

His family and their company, Saracco Viti e Vini, have been producing wine for more than two centuries, starting their activity in 1799. He spent countless days roaming in the vineyards where the Barbera and Moscato d’Asti come from.

He’s a Power Academy Scholar with Scottish and Southern Energy, one of the “Big Six” energy companies in the UK. A charcuterie fan at heart, the only way to have him do his blood tests as a kid was to promise a big salami sandwich.
